FAQ
Which phones work?
Any phone that can send SMS. Off-grid, it works with iPhone satellite messaging (iPhone 14 or later, supported regions) and other phones or carriers that offer satellite texting.
How fast are replies over satellite?
Usually within a minute or two once your message goes out, but satellite texts can take longer. You may need a clear view of the sky and to point your phone as prompted.
Do I need an app?
No. It is a regular text conversation with one number.
What can I ask?
Weather, news, stocks, directions, sports scores, and quick facts. Answers are short and plain text, so detailed maps or images are not possible.
Is it always accurate?
Answers come from web sources and AI and can be wrong or out of date. Double-check anything important to your safety.
What about my privacy?
We use your phone number and messages only to answer you and run the service. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel?
Text STOP at any time to stop messages. Once billing launches, you can cancel your plan anytime with no long-term contract.
Can it read my email or calendar?
Not yet. Controlling apps like Gmail and your calendar by text is planned and coming soon. It is not available today. When it launches, anything that sends a message will ask you to confirm first.
Can I use it in an emergency?
No. Use 911 or Emergency SOS via satellite.
